The A&A intranet was launched in 1997, and provides employees with easy access to phone lists, personnel manuals, project documents and benefits information.

During my time at A&A, I designed new and redeveloped existing intranet applications, including:

  • Employee Signout Sheet - allows employees to sign themselves out for breaks or vacation, and to reserve conference rooms, company cars, digital cameras and survey equipment.

  • Training Sessions Database - allows employees to view information about and sign up for lunch-time training sessions organized by the Human Resources department. Employees can even specify meal preferences, or sign up to "attend" remotely from a branch office, via speakerphone or NetMeeting.

  • Employee Database - provides easy access to employee information, including a "personal profile" that can be customized by each employee. In addition, Human Resources has easy access to dynamic reports for information such as education, licensing and benefits.

These and other applications were built with ASP or PHP, and are connected to a central MS SQL Server.
